The Russian ski runner Alexander Bolschunov has won gold in the skithlon at the winter games in Beijing Gold. The 25-year-old sat down after 30 kilometers with ski change significantly before his compatriot Denis Spizow, bronze went to Iivo Niskanen from Finland. As the best German, Lucas Bögl (Gaißach) took the twelfth place. For Bolschunow it was after three times silver 2018 in Pyeongchang the first gold medal at Olympia. After 1: 16: 09.8 hours he lay 1: 11.0 minutes seconds before Spizow, this meant the largest lead in an Olympic race over 30 kilometers since 1998.
